Progress of my second Prince Valiant Illustration. I've chosen to portray the prince with a "romanesque" look, since Foster put him anywhere the 4th and 8th century AC, I wanted to imply that he is from the period immediately after the Romans left England.

Grand Tardoss Morss final concept

Early concept for a "Thark". All of these were done with the idea of defining character concepts for my Princess of Mars illustrations.

I've started to do preliminary work on my John Carter Illustrations, beginning with a very basic compositional idea ( directly above) then concentrating on character design for one of the characters ( Tardoss Morss).

Ball point pen studies for Conan. At this stage I'm trying to find a look for this character that I can call my own, without it being reminiscent to other artist's like Frazetta.

I did this in Prismacolor black pencil and shaded it with a regular # 2 Dixon Ticonderoga pencil, a technique I learned from Mark Crilley, an American Manga artist who has a YouTube channel that is very informative.

New Conan studies. I'm trying to find a look or pose that defines my art style.

Also thinking of Prince Valiant at this moment.
