Ball point pen studies for Conan. At this stage I'm trying to find a look for this character that I can call my own, without it being reminiscent to other artist's like Frazetta.
I did this in Prismacolor black pencil and shaded it with a regular # 2 Dixon Ticonderoga pencil, a technique I learned from Mark Crilley, an American Manga artist who has a YouTube channel that is very informative.
